Agnes L. Kozar, 93 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Agnes was born February 7, 1928 in Mt,. Pleasant the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Borek Machowicz. Agnes was a member of the former Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church and presently a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Agnes was employed as a seamstress for Connellsville Sportswear and approximately 20 years as a waitress at the Rainbow Garden Restaurant in Bridgeport, PA. In addition to her husband John, she was preceded in death by her son, Francis "Bear" Kozar, a daughter, Mary Jane Jaworski; brothers, Anthony, Andrew and John Borek and sisters, Mary Kurimchak, Lillian Borek, Sophie Koza and Julia Matlak. Agnes is survived by a son, Dennis Kozar (Karen), three granddaughters, Melanie Spires (PJ), Michelle Stewart (Shawn) and Marley Kozar; great grandchildren, Lily and Owen Spires and Clara and Caleb Stewart and also nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 6 pm Sunday, June 13, 2021 at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant where prayers of transfer will be held at 9:30am Monday, June 14, 2021 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Mt.Pleasant.
