Tribute & Message From The Family
Sharon J. Immel, 57, of Connellsville, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, with her loving family by her side. Sharon was born Aug. 9, 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Albert and Joan Bitner Churby. She was a Uniontown High School graduate, Class of 1981, and was formerly employed as the manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken, Connellsville. Sharon attended the Christian Church of Connellsville (Disciples of Christ) and was a member of the Polish Club and Connellsville's VFW. She was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan and loved planting flowers in her barrels at home. Sharon is survived by her husband, Jeff; her children, Jimmy Henschel (Lauren), of Bear Rocks, and Adam Henschel, of Connellsvile; grandchildren, Brody and Ramona; sisters, Rose Thorpe and Judy Mounayer; brother, Albert Churby Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Rick Churby; infant sister, Joyce; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George "Bob" and Louise Immel. Visitation for family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 24, 2021 at SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, 730 W. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666, where a service will follow at noon with the Rev. Bob Ellson, officiating. Please visit Sharon's online memorial at www.saloom-rega.com to sign the condolence guestbook.
