Condolence & Memory Journal

Nancy, Gary Strelec just told me of Doug's passing. We are so sorry for your loss. Doug always treated me with respect and kindness. He taught me so much about math, basketball and life. The whole Show family was very important in how I viewed life and treated other people. He is very missed.

Nancy, I am so sorry for your loss. Doug was always a very nice guy. He was kind, gentle, and caring. It was always the highest compliment when he requested me as his substitute teacher. Additionally, my children thought he was a wonderful teacher. He has left a strong legacy at MPAHS. May God grant you comfort and peace.

My deepest sympathies to the Show family. Mr. Show was one of my math teachers at MPHS. His patience with me in learning math was nothing less than stellar. He was also a good family friend especially to my father. I have no doubt that they have reconnected in heaven and are chatting about something sports related. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

We graduated high school with Doug. He was kind, an exemplary student, good sport, and well liked by all his classmates. As we grew older we were always proud of his accomplishments. He followed his true calling and now is in the arms of Jesus. Well done my good and faithful servant. Our heartfelt sympathy to his family.

He was one of my favorite teachers. We talked a lot about basketball, and I still remember some words of encouragement he gave me the next day in class after a big loss to Southmoreland.

Great picture, exactly like I remember him.
