Alice Smith Obituary

Alice Josephine Byers Smith, 85, of Ruffs Dale; East Huntington Twp., passed away on Saturday morning January 15, 2022 in Excela Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born on February 12, 1936, in Smithton, PA a daughter of the late Alva Jackson Byers and Edna Josephine Slaughter Byers. Mrs. Smith was a jack-of-all trades homemaker who would do anything to help anyone in need. She was a member of the Mt. Joy Church. She is survived by her four children Ronald K. Smith (Cheryl) of Scottdale, Brenda Joyce Fahie (Roan) of Killeen, TX, Donald K. Smith (C.J.) of Mt Pleasant and Edward P. Smith of Ruffs Dale; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband Robert Earl Smith, Sr. who passed away in 1995; sons Robert Earl Smith, Jr. and David Smith; a daughter Barbara E. Smith; and two sisters Mary I. Byers and Ethel Byers Keller. Family and friends will be received from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday January 19 in the SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, 730 West Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday January 20, 2022. She will be laid to rest beside her husband and son in the Mt. Joy Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
